Stockton's Pacific University is famous as California's oldest institute of higher learning.

Shelbyville has a strong agricultural base, producing wheat, soybeans, and corn, but in recent years it has seen excellent growth in the automotive parts industry.

Hue, in central Vietnam, was the old capital of the Nguyen Dynasty until 1945. Home to some universities and 60 and over other educational institutions, Hue has come to be called the "learning centre of Vietnam."
